PERMANENT TRIBAL EXHIBIT

"From Time Immemorial...." The very first feature serves as the touchstone that expresses the importance and uniqueness of our traditions. The voices of tribal elders will recount time-honored and beloved stories. Visitors will assemble in a rocky, cavern-like setting, filled with replicas of pictographs from the Warm Springs and Columbia River regions, the original tribal homeland of two of the three tribes. A display on the traditional utilization of plants as food, medicine, and utensils is featured. "They Still Speak to Us", a video and photographic presentation of pictographs tells you about preservation of these precious writings on the rocks. It joins "Songs of Our People", which acquaints you with the music of Warm Springs.
